SAFARIWIRE TANZANIA FAMILY SAFARI  – 2015/2016

Our favorite family safari program will ensure an experience of Tanzania highlights – its stunning wildlife, awe-aspiring landscapes, and fascinating mix of cultures. This safari is a wonderful experience for the whole entire family.

Day 1: ARRIVAL ARUSHA

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival to Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and briefed by a Safari Wire representative, who will transfer you to the hotel. This 1 hour drive will lead you to your beautiful deluxe Tulia Boutique hotel just on the outskirts of Arusha town for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: ARUSHA – LAKE MANYARA

After an early breakfast, you will be met by your safari guide / driver, who will brief you about Tanzania Safari before you proceed by road for two hours to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is one of the most popular and attractive national park in Tanzania. For a relatively small area in size, it contains a variety of habitat and diverse animals and birds. Lake Manyara is also famous for its tree – climbing lions and numerous migratory birds. We will enjoy game viewing within the Lake Manyara National Park with picnic lunch. Late afternoon return to our safari lodge. Check in and ready for dinner and overnight stay at Kudu Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Picnic lunch, Dinner.

Day 3: LAKE MANYARA – SERENGETI

After breakfast say farewell to Lake Manyara. We will proceed by road to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro rain forest, where you will spend two full days. Serengeti National Park is the largest national park in Tanzania and one of the largest sanctuaries in the world. The park lies in a high plateau between the Ngorongoro highlands and the Kenyan border towards Masai Mara and extends all the way to Lake Victoria in the west. The Serengeti is fames for its annual migrations of Wildebeest, Zebras and Gazelles. As the massive herds of herbivores search for new grazing ground, they are tracked and hunted by an impressive array of carnivorous predators suck as Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, and Hyenas. The vast plains and woodlands are also inhibited by Buffalo, Elephant, Giraffe, Hippo, Antelope, Ostrich, Jackal, Baboon, and Dik-dik. Bird life in Serengeti is surprisingly abundant with nearly 500 species of birds having been recorded in the Serengeti National Park. Late afternoon to your camp at the central Serengeti. Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Sopa Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Today after breakfast we explore Serengeti National Park, the world famous wildlife sanctuary. The Serengeti is summed up as ‘one of the most unique areas in the world’. This park contains the largest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, on a scale, which has no parallel to anywhere else in the world. The abundance of herbivorous includes Wildebeest, Gazelle, Topi, Buffalo, and Hartebeest, to name but a few. Serengeti is also famous for predators like Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, and Hyena and contains a wide variety of birdlife, believed to be in the regions of 500 species. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO CRATER

After breakfast check out from lodge, followed by a morning game drive in Serengeti. Head off towards Ngorongoro via Simba Kopjes and Naabi Hill gate with picnic lunches. We will stop at a Masai village before we proceed to the crater rim to enjoy stupendous views of Ngorongoro crater from the top. After picnic lunch, we then head to Rhino lodge, located on the edge of Ngorongoro Crater. Rhino Lodge offers spectacular view of the Oldean Mountain. Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, Dinner.

Day 6: NGORONGORO CRATER – TARANGIRE.

After breakfast head out for Ngorongoro Crater tour, while enjoying the view from the crater rim as well as admiring this masterpiece of Mother Nature. This oval shaped 300 sq. km in area and 610 meters deep crater is a repository of Africa’s finest wildlife. All the Big Five are present, living a privileged existence on the crater floor, and so placid you can move right among them. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a 6 hours crater tour with picnic lunch. Afternoon drive through the beautiful rainforest of Ngorongoro Conservation area to the traditional village of Karatu before heading towards the edge of Rift Valley for dinner and overnight stay at Kudu Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 7: TARANGIRE – ARUSHA

After an early breakfast drive into Tarangire National Park for a half-day game drive and then return to the Coty of Arusha. This will be the end of your Tanzania family safari. If you will be travelling to Nairobi we can arrange a 2:00 pm shuttle bus for you to Nairobi or we can drop you off at Kilimanjaro international Airport or Arusha Airport for your onward journey to Zanzibar beach holiday or return back home. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

 Cost: $ 5,900 (Cost is quoted for 2 Adults and 2 Children aged below 12)
