Day Tours in Tarangire National Park
8:00am pick up in Arusha or Moshi and drive in comfort to Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low – lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consist of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. The birdlife in Tarangire is outstanding, sitting directly underneath a flyby between Southern Africa and Europe, capturing migrants from both hemispheres. Leopards are particularly abundant here, as well as giragge. But above all the large number of elephant families that concentrate in the park during the dry season in search of precious water in the Tarangire River. This area id very good for herbivores and you stand a good chanve to see Giraffe, Impala, Dik Dik and many more.
